Thea Wilshire works as an author, psychologist, consultant, trainer, and community leader. As an author, she enjoys writing about her passions: human interaction, community, faith, mental health, and civic development.
Since childhood, Thea has been passionate about social infrastructure and this love has grown to include civic engagement and community development. Because of this, she has helped to develop multiple award-winning public spaces including municipal parks, libraries, trails, a wellness camp, playgrounds, public art installations, a miniature golf course, and a tool lending library. She co-founded Love Where You Live, a nonprofit that helps transform livable spaces into lovable places. Thea also participates in historic building restorations, downtown beautification efforts, and community event coordination. Thea loves to see people connecting with others, discovering new joys, and falling in love with the places where they live and work.
During her free time, Thea enjoys reading, traveling, her pets, photography, the out of doors, strategic board games, and new adventures. She had a blast restoring her 1910 Craftsman house and 1964 Aristocrat Land Commander travel trailer (a huge name for a tiny trailer).
